Karen M. Mosca is the
Principal and owner of Waypoint Directions working with
individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses focusing on their business and career
growth for over 10 years. Her background includes over 25 years of corporate executive
and sales management, business consulting and coaching experience. Karen’s
objective is to expand her client’s horizons by bringing a positive, no
nonsense results oriented approach to the experienced business executive,
professional or business leader. She focuses on dramatically increasing their
business and enhancing the quality of their professional careers. Prior
to Waypoint Directions, Karen successfully owned and managed ExeLCoaching a personal
and business coaching company. In addition to a successful business
executive career at IBM, Karen was an executive coach at IBM Corporation.
A Harvard Management Update (Vol 9 No 12 – HBSWK Pub Date June 13, 2005)
referred to the work efforts at IBM Corporation regarding “What an Executive
Coach Can Do for You”. Karen was a leader in that corporate coach community
effort. She is sought out as a resource in working with small business
owners and professionals. Karen has been a contributor to and guest speaker for
the City of New Haven Office of Small Business Initiative and was part of the
State of Connecticut Economic & Business Development Roundtable Plan
sponsored by the Secretary of the State. She has been featured on NBC as a
career expert, in the Wall Street Journal, and Connecticut newspapers. Karen
received coaching education from CoachU and CTI (Coaches Training Institute).
She is a Certified Retirement Coach by Retirement Options having
completed comprehensive study dedicated to addressing the continuing issues
of soon-to-be-retirees and understanding issues of professionals in the
"post" work place. She is certified in Extended Disc assessments, and
utilizes other assessments as required for career and business efforts. Additionally,
the business growth plan process is based on advanced business education. Karen
was employed as a global business unit sales executive at IBM and, as such, received
advanced executive education at Harvard Business School, Babson, and has
competencies in business development and sales leadership. She was on the Board
of Regents of Women In Transformation, a non-profit organization serving women
in transition requiring professional services and on the board of the
Entrepreneurial Women's Network of Connecticut Over the years she has been
active in the community in such areasas an elected RTM member, appointee
to the Community Relations Board, and active in community events. Karen enjoys
music. As a former member of the Shoreline Community Chorale and Shoreline
Repertory Chorale, Karen and a group of like minded individuals shared their
joy of music via choral music therapy and interactive group participation
for nursing homes, hospice and service organizations.
